YELLOWSTONE NEWS.. When it comes to managing wildlife, money talks! Montana, Wyoming, and Idaho need to realize that predators, especially wolves, are a big draw to tourists from all over the world. Your voice does matter, does count, and does make a difference. National Parks belong to EVERYONE, not just special interest groups. A new National Park Service report shows that 3,188,030 visitors to Yellowstone National Park in 2013 spent almost $382 million in communities surrounding the park. That spending supported 5,300 jobs in the area. The report shows $14.6 billion of direct spending by 273.6 million park visitors in communities within 60 miles of a national park. This spending supported more than 237,000 jobs nationally, with more than 197,000 jobs found in these gateway communities, and had a cumulative benefit to the U.S. economy of $26.5 billion.
