YEP.....I double dog dare you to watch this video and then read what Im saying about it.…… Did you? I hope so. Theres a verse in the Bible that used to drive me crazy because it made absolutely no sense. Heres the verse. (Mat 5:5) Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. Yep thats it. Now let me explain why it used to drive me crazy! I used to think that the word meek meant weak. It does not. I used to think how can being weak cause you to inherit the earth? Because after all every whimpy person that I ever knew of got beat up, ran over, and misused. Meek does not mean weak. It means someone who is willing to do things in balance, the right way, at the right time, and in the right amount. Have you ever heard the song, Coward of the County by Kenny Rogers? In the song the boyfriend had sworn to never fight but after his fiancée or spouse was taken advantage of he stood up against the abusers doing the right thing in the right way at the right amount at the right time. Thats meekness. Now, for my example of the dog. If you study the word meek in the Greek language its origin comes from a term meaning a trained Wolf. It is a Wolf that was once wild. It is a Wolf that has been captured and trained by its master. It is a Wolf that still has its wild side but it has surrendered its wild side in obedience to its master. It is a Wolf that will respond in all of its fierceness when ordered to by its master. It is a Wolf that is willing to do the right thing at the right time and in the right way and amount only at the bidding of the command of its master. The Wolf is much like the lead character in the book White Fang. It is an animal that considers itself to have disappointed its master if it gets out of control when the master did not order it. It is a Wolf that listens for the master to say its enough whenever it reacts. It is a Wolf that listens for its masters voice to come alongside him, and to sound the warning, and to charge in the attack whenever necessary. That is how the meek can inherit the earth. Meekness is doing the right thing at the right time and in the right amount at the command of our master and stopping when he says to stop. Just like the dog in this video. Are you meek? Master, teach me, train me to be meek. Help me to know your voice master. Help me to warn whenever there is a threat to you or to those that you love. Teach me your language. Teach me to attack in fierceness and bear my teeth whenever necessary at your command. Help me to only show as much fierceness as you command but when you do may that fierceness cause your enemies to be afraid. Help me to come alongside you and to walk in step with you at your command. God make me meek...Cliff Clark
