YORK, JESSE Dexter, MI passed away on Tuesday March 25, 2014 at the Arbor Hospice residence with his mother by his side. Jesse was born on July 29, 1982. He is survived by his mother Kathleen York and his uncle, Roger York. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Frances York. During the time he spent with us he touched our lives and our souls and his presence in our life is a gift we will always be thankful for. He was a passionate University of Michigan football fan and loved to play football. He had a very strong soul and was, by the accounts of all his friends and family, the most fearless man they knew. He was known as a daredevil and a thrill seeker. While he had some trouble seeing the purpose in his short life, the people he influenced and those he touched are forever affected by his legacy of bravery. He had a memorable, slightly devious yet charming laugh. He lived his life the way he wanted to. He did not define his life by what anyone told him he should or should not do. His strong will, persisted until the day he died. Jesse was adamant that all those who knew him, and all of those who cared for him, know of the disease he so bravely suffered with for the last seven years. With that said please Google SCA3. There will be a graveside service at St. Andrews United Church of Christ’s Cemetery in Dexter (Baker Rd.) March 29, 2014 at 4:00pm followed by a celebration of Jesse’s life at 4:30 at his home.
