YOU ARE GODS HOUSE ...ye are Gods building (1 Cor 3:9) When someone buys a house, (considering the condition) they assess it and see where they may need to work on it and fix it to their liking. After all, it is their house! They paid for it and should be able to do whatsoever they desire to with it. Even so it is with God. The scriptures declare that if we have been born again of the Spirit, then we are not our own, we are Gods house (Heb 3:6), the temple of the Holy Spirit (2 Cor 6:19). Weve been bought with a very expensive price! We were all abandoned buildings at one time or another. Some of us were projects, others were complex apartments, some were tenements. We even had those who exalted themselves as colonial homes and mansions.But what we all had in common was, no matter how pretty our homes appeared to be on the outside, inside we had severe structural, electrical and foundation issues. In other words, we were all on our last leg! But instead of tearing us down, Jesus bought the property and is in the process of building us back up! Praise be to our God!!!. Dearly beloved, we must be very careful not to resist the work of the Holy Spirit. God can be trusted with our emotions and feelings. Hes the Gods who sees and hears. Only a foolish person would buy a property and not care for it well. Dont get upset when He hires the construction crew (persecution, affliction, trials, storms and His church) to build us up. Although He wont knock down the house, He may have to knock down some of the walls, so that it can compliment His architectural design. It may be some banging, some cutting and some fitting, but its all to beautify the house, not to destroy it! Do not mistake what hurts you as being bad for you. Remember, you signed up for this (Luke 9:23). God is a Master Engineer, He knows exactly what He wants the house to be according to His Divine blueprint. I have learned that change is the most difficult when we resist it. Do not resist the will of the Holy Spirit dearly beloved; He knows exactly what Hes doing. Be encouraged!
