YOU CAN CHOOSE NOT TO PLAY! When faced with difficult situations, - TopicsExpress

YOU CAN CHOOSE NOT TO PLAY! When faced with difficult situations, and when life hits us hard in our bodies and values and beliefs, we are forced to reflect and sometimes make hard choices, decisions and responses. These decisions come from the questions we ask ourselves, like: should we respond this way, or that? And a lot of times, both “this” and “that” do not go in parallel with our personal values… BUT we tell ourselves, we are choosing the BAD over the WORSE… and we become more comfortable with our choices, because we think they are smart choices. After all, I should not choose the “WORSE”, should I? Over time, and using the above “smart” decision process, we go into a string of decisions that are made on that basis >>>>>> a string of “BAD” choices (rather than “WORSE” choices.) Mmmm, so, the question becomes, WHERE would a string of “BAD” choices lead me, us? Not a difficult answer to guess, right? So, what am I saying? I am saying that it’s about the game we CHOOSE to play. When a game of “BAD/WORSE” presents itself, I can simply choose NOT to play. YES, refuse to play! Here, a lot of people say that “you should always choose between the two things or else you will be opinion-less.” NOOOOO!!! What I am saying is that I want to own the opinion NOT to play this game… and only play the game of “BAD/GOOD”… and GOD FORBIDS, I might be able one day to play the game of “GOOD/BETTER” choices. How about that? “An eye for an eye, will make us all blind” – Gandhi YOU CAN CHOOSE NOT TO PLAY!
