Ya know.. working here at Arturos Chicken and Waffles, I run into all types. Lemme tell you about one type. Lemme tell you about the US Border Patrol Agent. This fella, hes not the fella that receives the limelight as you may see on the ICE agent (what do they do?). Hes not the fella that movies are made about in a positive light like DEA/FBI; etc. Hes not that guy that youll see spun into a positive light like a city PD or SO and what have you. Hes the guy that spends 10 to 12 hours in dust and sand, dragging a pile of tractor tires behind his vehicle to clean a trail beaten down by hundreds of folks that would come here to leverage a system that grants them entitlements for their violations of a sovereign countrys border. Hes the guy that will get up early and show up in a weather worn uniform beaten by a hot sun that most folks walk out into and spend a few minutes under to turn around and go back into the AC as he spends 8 to 10 hours under with a devotion to country that is silent but powerful. Hes the guy that may be born in Texas, California or Chihuahua Mexico that believes in something greater than himself; a country of rights granted by God and not by an overreaching government whether it be American or Mexican. Hes a guy that is spit on and shit on because of a twisted and contorted media story about how this evil agency has abused some young migrant (whether that migrant had a 50 lb bundle of MJ on his back and attempted to assault the agent when encountered). The Border Patrol Agent puts his ass on the line every single day and at the end of that day comes home to relax with his family and tune into a media that portrays him as some kind of racist monster when in fact his passion for the illegal immigrant is strong but his belief in law and country is first. Yep, working here at Arturos is quite the privilege.
