Muslim :: Book 1 : Hadith 142 It is narrated on the authority of Abdullah b. Umar that the Messenger of Allah observed: O womenfolk, you should give charity and ask much forgiveness for I saw you in bulk amongst the dwellers of Hell. A wise lady among them said: Why is it, Messenger of Allah, that our folk is in bulk in Hell? Upon this the Holy Prophet observed: You curse too much and are ungrateful to your spouses. I have seen none lacking in common sense and failing in religion but (at the same time) robbing theWisdom of the wise, besides you. Upon this the woman remarked: What is wrong with our common sense and with religion? He (the Holy Prophet) observed: Your lack of common sense (can be well judged from the fact) that the evidence of two women is equal to one man, that is a proof of the lack of common sense, and you spend some nights (and days) in which you do not offer prayer and in the month of Ramadan (during the days) you do not observe fast, that is a failing in religion. This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Abu Tahir with this chain of transmitters. Reply to sender . Reply to group . Reply via Web Post . All Messages (2) . Top ^ 2 Wisdom Tue Jul 8, 2014 3:10 am (PDT) . Posted by: Yaqub Islam islam10023 How to Gain Wisdom The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “Allah Most High says, ‘He who is hostile to a friend (Wali) of Mine I declare war against. My slave approaches Me with nothing more beloved to Me than what I have made obligatory for him, and My slave keeps drawing nearer to Me with voluntary works until I love him. And when I love him, I am his hearing with which he hears, his sight with which he sees, his hand with which he seizes, and his foot with which he walks. If he asks Me, I will surely give to him, and if he seeks refuge in Me, I will surely protect him.’” [Sahih Bukhari] Allah’s friends are those who are constant and sincere in obedience to Him. A friend (Wali) of Allah is one who is close to Him because of his devotion to Him, through obeying His commands and shunning the acts which he has forbidden. Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) declares war against those who harass people because of their Islam. Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) says that He will fight such people Himself. And whoever such a thing should happen to, should expect only the worst to happen to him. This Hadith also tells us that the obligatory deeds (Faraid) are the most beloved to Allah (subhana wa ta’ala). Nothing makes Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) happier than performance of Faraid and keeping away from the forbidden deeds (Haraam). This is what makes a person a friend of Allah’s. We should also keep the performance of obligatory (Fard) and recommended (Sunnah/Nafl) deeds in perspective. It is said that the recommended deed amounts to but one-seventieth of the value of an obligatory deed. [Reliance of the Traveller by Ahmad ibn Naqib Al-Misri] This Hadith is also a metaphor for Allah’s help and assistance. By Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) becoming someone’s hearing or sight or hand what is meant is that Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) helps the Momin to perceive what He wants him to perceive and do through his limbs what He wants him to do. If you want to gain ultimate wisdom and behave with the utmost wisdom then obey Allah (subhana wa ta’ala). When you stick to His obedience He will bless you with this wisdom from Himself. O You whom eyes can not see, fancy can not grasp nor admirers can praise sufficiently- one who is immune from all catastrophies and has no fear on account of the rotation of times, who fully knows the weight of mountains, measure of rivers, number of drops of water of rain and of the leaves of trees and the number of things on which the nights shed their darkness and the days their light, to whom one heaven cannot obscure the other heaven nor one stratum of the earth the other one nor are the contents of the bottom of oceans bidden from Him nor is the inner substance of the mountains hidden from Him- do make the last part of my life the best one and the concluding portion of my actions the best one and out of the days make the day when I meet Thee the best one. O You who is the Master of Islam and its followers alike, keep me adhering to it till I meet Thee. O Allah! Make me such that I fear You as though I am seeing You all the time till I meet You. Make me fortunate with Your obedience and do not condemn me with Your disobedience. Reply to sender . Reply to group . Reply via Web Post . All Messages (9) . Al-Taubah (1-92) • We continue the discourse on Badr and the dream of the Prophet; • A call subsuming six pieces of advice that will lead to victory; • Al-Anfal ends by explaining that it is brotherhood that ties the Muslim world together; • Al-Tawbah begins by defining the limits to the pact between Allah’s Messenger and the pagans; • The Islamic calendar is mentioned and the sanctity of the sacred months is explained; • The Muslims are encouraged to go out in the path of Allah when called to do so and the hypocrites and all those who remain behind without a valid excuse are censured; • The qualities of the hypocrites and the believers are mentioned with Allah’s respective promises for both; • The Prophet (peace be upon him) is prohibited from seeking help from the hypocrites at times of war, and he is also prohibited from seeking forgiveness for them or praying for them. The Juz begins with the final quarter of al-Tawbah (Repentance) in which Allah continues to describe the good character of the righteous. Allah confirms that His good pleasure is with the righteous who partake in the purifying act of spending for the sake of Allah and carry out good deeds. He reminds us that every chapter in the Qur’an continues to strengthen the believer. Allah ends this chapter by telling us of the great nature of our Prophet (peace be upon him) and how heavily it weighed upon the Prophet that we would suffer in the life to come. The Juz then covers the entire chapter of Yunus (Jonah) which stresses Allah’s power, the authenticity of the Qur’an and the fate of the evildoers. It also discusses tawhid (Divine Unity), how Allah reveals Himself to man, how the Prophets were rejected and the workings of Allah’s divine grace. Reply to sender . Reply to group . In esoteric Judaism they have the myth of the Golem, a creature made of mud, and sticks, with words placed in his mouth. Created to do work while they rested. How our 5 senses progress, connected to dikr. The connection we need to understand the message Allah(swt) wants us to receive ! As always, your comments, and insight gained- shared with the forum - is welcomed ! Mohammed Hassan Facilitator Flushing NY Imam WD Mohammed- Ramadan 2007 - explains why the 5 senses needs the 3 progressions to work for you, and without it, you are not really free. So this five is not really freed. The five has proven to be insufficient. It can not deliver us. It can not bring us freedom. So know that when they say the fifth and birds flying into heaven they are not talking about material freedom or material science. They are talking about spiritual science. And the same five senses that bring us into this world to live a practical life here, the same five senses should be able to liberate us and bring us to a higher world, to the real world. These five senses can do that but they can not work unless you do them step-by-step from the essence, spirit, spirit of your pure and original essence. It has to be pressing upon your mind that, I need to deliver myself from this limited perception of truth and reality. And you start in the base of the original nature and you go 1,2,3.And you are using your five senses but they are, because this is the rule in your five senses, the thumb. You are using your five senses, but this is the 5th one. 1,2,3,4,5.You are using the 5th one but you are going through a spiritual pattern. You are following a spiritual pattern that begins in your original nature and remains up right from the first level of your nature up to the second, which is the mortal body, the second level, the rational body. And if you go from the mortal body to the rational body with your intelligence, this is the fifth. It will bring you to a third and the third will be spiritual enlightenment or freedom, but that is not enough. You were working with the mortal body. You started with the mortal body, that is the baby, the baby finger, and that is the baby life, the mortal life. Imam WD Mohammed. 2007 Reply Reply to this message...
