Yall think I be lying !!! Heres what Derrick Elias did back on 3/27/2012...... How did the information get to FDLE? The Mayor stated he had concerns and requested that the Commission do an independent audit of the P-Card but not action was taken and the Manager said if I think that there is criminal activity he should take it to FDLE or the State Attorney. Commissioner Dowdell pointed out that the FDLE report found no wrong-doing/criminal activity. Commissioner Dowdell told the Mayor he did not like the Mayor going outside of the Commission process, the Commission in an earlier meeting stated it was comfortable with P-Card document submitted by the Manager and he did not have a right to go to FDLE, as Mayor, without the permission of the Commission. Commissioner Sapp stated that the report addresses the Mayor and it seems as if the whole Commission agreed to send the documents and it is a bad reflection on the Commission. Mayor Elias stated he did not say he took the documents as the Mayor. Commissioner Sapp said the FDLE document identified him as Mayor. Mayor Elias told Commissioner Dowdell he did not care what he thought. Commissioner Sapp told the Mayor was rude. The Mayor replied he had the floor and had not recognized anyone. Mayor Elias adjourned the meeting and left the meeting without a motion to adjourn. Mayor Pro-Temp, Commissioner Sapp, asked the City Attorney if the meeting could continue and he replied yes. Commissioner Dowdell asked the City Attorney to research possible sunshine violations and possible removal of the mayor title from Commissioner Elias. Mayor Pro-Temp directed the Clerk to include in the minutes the City Manager’s comments being made as the Mayor left the meeting. Those comments were: Mayor please give an apologize to 116 public servants whose names and reputations were defamed with his earlier statement that employees were engaging in wrongdoing/criminal activity in use of the P Card, now that the FDLE report found wrongdoing/criminal activity. Following which, the meeting ended without adjournment See Derrick has been the problem all along.....
