One area that the president paid particular attention was the political and civil society landscape in the Russian Federation which is still undergoing changes and developing after the collapse of the USSR. The summit of the Valdai Club was especially important as it marked the 10 year anniversary of the forum. The session was attended by over 200 Russian and foreign experts, influential political and social leaders and leaders from many different fields of expertise. The 10th session was titled “Russia’s Diversity for the Modern World”.
