" Yap Prepares Team For MicroGames According to a statement released by The Sports Office, potential athletes are being recruited for training to compete in Table Tennis events during the up-coming Micro Games in Pohnpei in the summer of 2014. Qualifying athletes will represent our state and will be playing for gold against other member entities such as the Marshall Islands, Nauru, Kiribati, Kosrae, Pohnpei, Chuuk, Guam, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands and Palau. Preparation for the team will begin in September and anyone who is interested to be considered a candidate to represent Yap must undergo a training program which was specifically designed for Table Tennis. Those potential athletes who are interested to try-out for Table Tennis are encouraged to contact either John G. Mangefel at the Office of Youth Services at phone number 350-3771 or Martin Ruwniyol at College of Micronesia Land Grant at phone number 350-2296 for clarification and details.
