Yeah, I get it. Pro wrestling is the red-headed step child of sports. Yeah, its scripted, and yeah, its soap-opera-ish. But movies are fake, and you watch those. So is Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones. Its all just: ENTERTAINMENT. Its hard for a wrestling fan to tell a non-wrestling fan what makes a good WRESTLER. Mainly because the non-wrestling fan doesnt even want to hear it. Theres a lot that goes into making it big in the wrestling world... You have to have a unique look, the athletic ability, the microphone skills, be a natural leader, and above all else: Natural Charisma and have people believe what you say. Anyone that knows me, knows that I have been touting about CM Punk for years. In my opinion, he is the BEST WRESTLER of the modern era, and 2nd overall in history (Shawn Michaels is #1). What made Punk so good was that he didnt stick to the script. He didnt insult the fans intelligence. What he did do, was go on live television and talk about how much WWE was a bullshit company. Which, like any other company, is filled with politics. You would think that WWE would have just fired him for it, but when Punk started speaking truth, the fans rallied behind him, and he became a cash cow for the company. His merchandise sales went through the roof. Then earlier this year, in a shock to pretty much everyone, CM Punk quit the WWE because he was tired. Tired of all the bullshit. I dont blame him. He will be missed greatly. His name is still chanted throughout arenas. This video is an incredible tribute made by a fan using all sorts of real life footage and classic lines of Punk calling out the WWE. A great watch for even a non-wrestling fan.
