Yeah, so l watch a lot of WW2 movies and documentaries or anything related. Here are some that I watched just this week: 1) The Way Back - Not bad but not good either. Its pretty cliche, even for an inspirational WW2 film. The sympathy ploys are really obvious and almost in your face. I like that it addresses the Russian side of things though (at least in the beginning), which you dont get much of, but honestly I dont personally think it was worth the two hours of my time--and my time is SO not valuable. 2) The Final Countdown - I missed probably half of it because it was so slow and dull that I got distracted playing games online. But hey, Martin Sheen and Kirk Douglas are in it, if that matters to you. 3) The War (Ken Burns Documentary) - I like to savor Ken Burns documentaries. I havent met one I dont like (though I havent watched his Baseball). Still watching it and Im not as absorbed as I was with The Civil War, which is hard to top, but its on par with Prohibition and The West and definitely worth watching, especially if you want something that lasts a little bit. 4) The Flat - Its slow but its a pretty interesting story. Glad I watched it. 5) No Place on Earth - Fabulous documentary survival story. Just captures the imagination. Loved it and I cant imagine that anyone who enjoys documentary or WW2 genres would be disappointed.
