Years ago, when I was new to this profession, and had a lesser number of students and experience than now, I used to conduct very tough examinations, with the intention to separate the good from the not-so-good students. (I said not-so-good students because I dont believe in students being weak). The purpose of that system was to only have students who will be able to get good results in the Boards and Entrance examinations, because in those days the only thing that mattered to the parents and teachers like us were Entrance results... Nowadays, it is not so any more. Students flourish in every field of education, let it be English, or Geography, or Geology, Statistics, Music, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Physics, Chemistry or Mathematics. And I have changed my stance. And amazingly, this year I have achieved unexpected level of success in all fields of education by my students. IITs, NITs, JU, Presidency College, IISc Banglaore, IISER Pune (among premier colleges), Heritage, Netaji Subhash, FIEM, CIEM... Many have taken up Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics Honors in reputed colleges... And I have realized that the rules of the system have changed...
