Yeeeehhh........maybe! Couple of weeks ago went up to the school for parent teacher report card. Ive done this in the past, prior to having custody, but this is the first time I had to do it alone with custody of my daughter. Didnt turn out as well as I hoped it would be. My daughter received 2 Cs on a report card that just would not do. Yeah I know.....Before I took custody of my child from her two maternal aunts, a great aunt and her mothers sister, who had a Masters in Child Development, she was a straight A student, in the suburbs. As far as I was concerned the teacher had a lot of explaining to do. You see, some schools dont like to give new students high grades on their first report card, stating the child had room to grow. The teacher is a wonderful woman who does her job out of her heart and not her purse, so we went over some of the records with a fine tooth comb and came to the conclusion that one of these Cs deserves to be a little B. Now this is where I have to confess that I have not been the zealot I need to be when it comes to doing my daughters homework. I relied too much on her natural ability and intelligence, while I keep a roof over our heads. In short I have to get my act together. More hands on parenting. Well at least I got her to school everyday and got the certificate to prove it. LOL
