Yep, another Fiesta Cluster Dog Show & Expo - Scottsdale is over and what a super event it was! I loved the layout for agility, the ample unloading area, the big dog park area, having a food vendor close! I loved having the Fiesta Committee bring us great coffee and donuts every morning. i thought the lunches by Doug and Rita of Sweet Things were delicious. I thought the bleachers for public viewing were a marvelous addition and we may need a few more next year! Penny Garvin and Tracy Paul were absolutely wonderful additions to the Fiesta Team this year! I thought Friday gating by Debbie Nichols and Saturday Gating by Leigh Fowler and Sunday Gating by Chris were especially inspiring and dedicated performances!!! Two thumbs up! Anna Shugars and Alice Fattalah in one ring and Marilyn Poncey, Donna Vanpelt, Lesley Cooper, and Sandy Comise in the other ring were awesome for three straight days as well! All the zonies who pitched in between runs were awesome and appreciated, even though I probably cannot name all of you. I love that so many zonies who were not running dogs came out to help - that is a huge big gesture from people like Dagmar Lowe and Leo, Sharon Browell, Dana Taylor Alonso and her family, Amy Ramsbacher, Marlene, Tracy Paul, Kim OConnor and her fiancé Chris, Connie Heaton, Susan Gerharz, Debbie and Leigh. Central Command Tent was deftly handled by Ginger Beck Erdman and Candy McDougal, everything from ribbons, hospitality, lunches and this and that. Thanks, also to Sue Feller for lovely Championship poles - which we used up! Many people might not realize that our score table was manned by women who were not showing their dogs, but were dedicated to helping Zonies put on an awesome event - Jean Julian, Kim OConnor and Connie Heaton. Today we had several people come out to help with the Specialty day, like Marianne Wiggishoff, Dagmar, Leslie, Amy, and Glyness. We also have some special thanks to give out to our Chiefs - who did awesome jobs with great attitudes for all three days - sometimes under hard circumstances - like huge puddles and pouring rain! Many kudos to Billie Rosen, Lou Brannick, Alicia Nicholas, Kodie Levine, Denise Titzer and Becky Gilbert. It is a special talent to get people to work hard with a smile on their face and you gals do just that for us and we appreciate you! Ok, Im pooped, taking the day off tomorrow to sit in a whirlpool and drink wine! Thanks everyone, I wouldnt do this job without you guys on my team!
