Yep, it happens to all of us. We get boged down by our own comfort zone, and compare new expereinces to our prior ones. Many experiences we enconuter in our lives are ***independent*** of prior experience (meaning prior experience only helps to a certain extent). The adage, If you do what you always have done, you get what you always have had, applies. Often many of our encounters with life, require independent consideration. This is why quality improvement exists. There are many whom want to believe the adage, if it isnt broke dont fix it [or change it]. Yet, just becuase a system, process, or item isnt broke, doesnt mean that remains useful. Will it alwys work the same way for you in the future? Change is a dynamic process that requires dynamic action. Waiting until things break down to fix them, is not a good way to manage anything (including our own lives). Nor is it good to always do things they way they have always been done. What worked for me five or ten years ago, would not accomplish nearly as much today. Want to change before things are broke and must be fixed? Look for resources that keep you in the know, and always seek change within yourself.
