Yes I am calabrese...or as a young caker once said calabreezy...and with that a reputation of being hard headed, stubborn and especially backward on matters of relationships. LOL. Ok so the stereotype can be a weight around my neck. Some people just cannot see beyond and although we may all exhibit the characteristics I mentioned being from that area even a bit of that behaviour on my part and suddenly I am totally and completely living up to the way people think we are. In reality I am my own person, flawed by being human, but not really anymore than most. Being calabrese is just a birth rite, a product of time and fate. Proud to be who I am and proud to say that as I get older my goal is to be stereotypical of a person that is totally unique and my own. Measured not against anyone person or culture but by the actions I am capable of that are neither expected nor unwelcome because I am being the best that I can be. So I will at times be stubborn but that is not calabrese just a part of all of us that comes through. :-)
