Yes folks regrets I havent facebooked this, but over the last - TopicsExpress

Yes folks regrets I havent facebooked this, but over the last fortnight as some of you have read my parish has had to close its church house proper and fit all its symbols of worship and offices into its hall next door till further notice. Although both our hall and second church of St. Luke’s, Vigor Brown Street are NOT earthquake prone - St. Augustine’s church could only make a 5% grade with withstanding a moderate earthquake in an engineers inspection mid-year. Diocesan Registrar Colleen Kaye asked the parish to assemble at the 9.30 service last Sunday and at the end of the service she announced the need for St. Augustine’s church building to be closed. By March 2015 committee will be in possession of further information and cost estimates which will give it a better idea of how St. Augustine’s can be reinforced. I have seen anxiousness in the Parish over the last week. However I have also seen a phenomenal level of courage, common sense and cooperation as we have prepared to worship and operate in our church hall and lounge. The bravery and optimism 80 women, men and youngsters put on at a Church pageant this morning was remakable. It will be my honour to relive Jesus birth with them this Christmas
