Yesterday I gave my great grand daughter Izzy a family heirloom. Rays Aunt Virgina Baughn Casella gave me a childs set of silverware made in Germany probably before World War I. She told me when she was a little girl her mother would take her into a bank in Healdsburg. The teller took a liking to little Virginia and gave her the set saying her own daughter was too old to play with it any more. This would have happened in the 1930s when the Baughn Family had moved there from Kansas. I am delighted that Izzy has the right imagination to enjoy playing tea party time with her dolls and the set. Oh, it was purchased at the White House Department Store in San Francisco.
