Yesterday I had a great conversation with one of my beloved young people who told me that I am too Black for her generation. She says they dont understand or care about the kente, the nationalism, the ingrained racial anger. She is even troubled that I describe white folks by race (though she does not seem to mind when white folks describe us as Black, as in Black economist). Tell me what you think, or in the words of NPRs Michelle Martin, tell me more.
