Yesterday, I led worship and preached about gifts at church. I was so caught up in the moment that I forgot our last hymn during the first service. Thankfully, our wonderful organist, Pam, gently got me back on track! You see, our church service wasnt perfect, but it didnt have to be perfect. All we needed was to worship the Lord with our hearts, and we did that. From the Praise Band leading us with two wonderful songs, to the duet singing of Mollie and her daughter, Kayla, the worship service was such a gift. Hmm, I preached about gifts and the service was also a gift! Friends, its okay to leave your perfectionism at the door. You dont have to have the perfect words in your prayers and your singing doesnt need to be on key and pitch perfect. God simply requires that you love and worship him with your whole heart! Yesterday, the hearts of the people at church were united in love, worshiping our Lord and Savior. To me, that was perfection indeed! Amen. ~John Lloyd~
