Yesterday I received a card and pictures from the mother of one of the boys (Hunter) Tucker was a Junior counselor for at Boys State in 2013. I was so moved I asked if she minded if I posted her words and pictures. Just another amazing testament to the effect Tuck had on others. And yes...I am proud. Thank you Laura for your kindness in sending this to me. Here are her words and pictures: Dear Cindy and Gary, My son Hunter and I met you at the visitation for your precious child. Tucker was Hunters JC at PBS. Hunter is not a big talker but I can tell from things Ive noticed that your son made a big impact on my son. Im sending some pictures that I wanted you to see. When Hunter brought his autographed shirt home from Boys State I immediately framed it. As you can see Tuckers name is front and center. Hunters is on his left sleeve. The second is a picture Im sure you have seen many times. They were so proud and all of them are having a wonderful time. Hunter is on the right side, 2nd from the end on the first row. He loves this picture. The third picture is of Hunters Citadel hat. He is a freshman. The picture just after this one is the inside of his hat. We were in Charleston this weekend and taking him back to school. I was getting his things together and his hat was turned over. When I saw what he had written inside I couldnt help but cry. I knew at that moment that I wanted you to know how much your child means to my child and countless others. The last picture is of Hunter, hat on head, going back into his battalion with Tucker tucked inside his hat, close to his spirit. My soul cries for you and wants to cover you from the world and the pain. Thanks be to God that He who is able will do that and more, abundantly beyond all that you ask and think. Please let me know if I can do anything for you. With the love of the Father, Laura Oliphant
