Yesterday, I ripped what ESPN was doing on SportsCenter with NBA - TopicsExpress

Yesterday, I ripped what ESPN was doing on SportsCenter with NBA free agency. Well today, it was even worse. Colin Cowherd opened his show by declaring LBJ would be back in Miami and Carmelo back in New York. Simultaneously, the Cavs made a clear salary-shredding trade with reports suggesting they were still in it for LBJ. Then, when previewing LBJs meeting with Heat President Pat Riley, Cowherd said Riley could make the argument they know what they are doing and dont whiff on picks (mentioning the Cavs took Anthony Bennett #1 overall). However, thats hardly true given the fact Riley drafted Michael Beasley over perennial All-Stars Russell Westbrook and Kevin Love. Cowherd then explained free agents dont give Chicago a sniff, questioning if Derrick Rose could be trusted. But in 2010, Rose hadnt been injured on any level and almost every writer (including ones who Cowherd touted the credibility of earlier in the show) had LBJ in a Bulls uniform.
