Yesterday I turned 41, but Im not telling you this to receive birthday wishes from family or friends (I already received those) but for the simple fact that I have lived a fantastic life, but have had an extraordinary 9 years, yes thats right, 9 years even though Im 41, because those 9 years could have been taken away from me in 2005, if it had not been for generous donations that individuals make to The Cancer Council. Why am I telling you this… because I want more people to donate to charities, whether it be The Cancer Council, or a charity close to your own heart, as without donations, people like me would not be here today. Dont wait to the last minute, as it may be too late. As many of you are also aware I am self employed and recently posted that my business, The Seka Group, has taken on a new life. So my challenge to family, friends and anyone on Facebook is this - for every new like on The Seka Group page, I will personally donate that amount to The Cancer Council, but go one better and double the total donation figure. Im not asking for any money to me or my business, but take a moment to make a donation to a charity you care about, as much as I care about The Cancer Council. You can choose whether to like The Seka Group page, make a donation or just ignore this post. The choice is yours. But, should you choose to like The Seka Group page to raise the final donation amount, you have till the 31st of December 2014 to make a difference and I truly hope that many of you continue to support a charity, like The Seka Group does each month.
