Yesterday, I was admitted to the hospitals for a complication - TopicsExpress

Yesterday, I was admitted to the hospitals for a complication related to my diabetes. I developed a very serious foot ulcer that is requiring operation this morning in an attempt to thwart removing my toe. I dont know about you, but all this has me terrified. I am, however extremely blessed. I have some of the best family God could provide to me. My St. Jude MCC family has me covered in love and prayers. So, heres a thought for today. Sacrifice is not always about what you have to give up but more about what you receive in the actions of being selfless. My favorite word for this action is altruistic. Giving of ones self to uplift others to me is never a sacrifice but a gift. Lives are changed, hearts are mended and that cross you are bearing becomes lighter. So as I lie here contemplating how my emotional state may be at the thought of possibly sacrificing a toe to thwart infection, Im unsure of what that will be. Right now my heart is so extremely heavy and when its talked about or mentioned, I begin to cry. My cry has awoken the master.
