Yesterday I was asked by a vegatablist about our soups served in the dining room. Here is the question Karen Hoppe- - John Heald Hi John - Can you advise which of Carnivals soups are vegetarian? I have found that when I ask the wait staff, most dont know. They will, of course, check with the chef and if they are able to get an answer, most are made with chicken or beef stock. If we knew ahead of time or it was marked on the menus, that would be helpful and not delay dinner service. I know the staff works very hard and I would imagine that disrupting their flow would cause inconvenience to them, not that they would ever let on! Thanks! I want to thank Karen for bringing up this very important question and I wanted to post the answer not just to her but to other people who may have concerns about this. Here then is the answer from our executive head chef Peter John guest is correct, most soups are made with either beef or chicken stock. Guests can always can order vegetarian soup for the next day (they could have dal for the first evening which is always available. So thank you again Karen. I hope this helps with what you need to know and please for anyone who wants a vegetable soup just let the waiter know the day before at dinner and they will have it for you without the chicken or beef stock. Thank you so much and let me know if you have any questions below and I will forward them to the chef
