Yesterday I was in Stockton most of the day. Theres a lot of gangsters in Stockton Sandy! Lol. I am exhausted but I meant to post this then. I am thankful for one of my best friends Sandy. Our friendship actually began with that phrase as we decided to go on a trip in a greyhound bus together even though we barely knew each other. Then stayed in a hotel together in Sacramento even though we barely knew each other because we couldnt find any other autism moms who would come up to the Capitol to fight for our kids but each other. It was when Gov Terminator was going to kill the Lanterman Act. We knew this was going to be key our childrens lives until they die so we werent willing to not go up and fight and give a voice to San Diego. That trip began a friendship between two women who have dealt with great crap and their lives but never without a fight. And two moms who would fight the next 10 years to give a voice to all people with disabilities. It inspired me to work in the Capitol one day, which I have done now both functionally and geographically. Anyway I could go and on but I will just say our friendship has been an essential rock during much storm and helped inspire both of us to achieve goals to help shape and change our world. Love you!
