Yesterday I went to see a new rheumatologist. She listened to everything I had to say, drew enough blood to transfuse someone, 💉💉💉💉💉 and suggested two new courses of treatment depending on what the lab reports show. For six years I have been on the same dose of the same medicine for lupus and I am getting steadily less and less able to cope with this disease. My former rheumatologist maintains that my blood work does not look bad enough for me to feel as badly as I claim to feel. I have some tough decisions to make and a long road ahead of me but I also have an amazing family, coworkers, and some close friends who will be there with me every step of the way. Next appointment is in two weeks. Asking for prayers and positive thoughts that I will make the best decision for me, and that things will go well with whichever path I take.
