Yesterday, If youd have told me about cats having a Heart Attack, Id have probably thought you were kidding; or that it would likely be a rare thing. Well, last night around 2 a.m. our cat Murphy had a heart attack and collapsed in our bathroom. He went from laying on the bed asleep to nausea then quickly lifeless. Cats go through almost exactly the same things a human would go through during a heart attack, but most often they dont live though it. I just couldnt understand how a big tough cat like Murphy could just fall over dead...Well, thankfully he did live through it, but time will tell just how much damage hes endured. It took about 2 hrs for him to come out of it. We called the Veterinarian and they suggested making him comfortable. He did spend the day at the Vets office and hes back home, but definitely a long way to go.
