Yesterday, RSS Chief Dr. Mohanrao Bhagawat delivered a brilliant speech at Bhubaneswar, Rabindra Mandap. He was superb in blending the finer nuances of national culture, national security and over-all development with the significance of following Rashkya Bandhan festival as a national celebration and not a mere social ritual.But the TOI coverage to-day has picked up only a small bit of the entire speech and attempts have been made to find out political implications from the speech. What he said is, In a democracy, the people are supreme. There is no denial of this axiomatic truth. He lucidly elaborated and emphatically asserted that the people get the government they deserve. Elections are occasions and opportunities to shape public aspirations as reality. The BJP with Narendra Bhai Modi has seized the opportunity and brought about the change. The nation has got a single party government at the Centre after three years of political uncertainties. The government is led by a strong personality like NaMo that ensures a strong India. The change is for a better government that can be proved only by better performance. Obviously, if we fail to respond, people would prefer a change. There is no personal comment on anyone. At best, it could be a positive caution by Dr.Mohanji Bhagwat.
