Yesterday after school an 11 year old boy was hit by a car leaving our school. It does not appear as though the driver was being dangerous. The boy was not playing or being silly but was still hit. It is therefore a timely reminder to us all to be super careful around schools and to remind our children where and how to cross roads safely. The injury is a broken leg that has been pinned. The boy is doing well though still obviously in pain. I know the thoughts and best wishes of our community go out to the family.
