Yesterday afternoon, I visited the plastic surgeon for a breast reduction consultation. After informing her of my late summer trip to the UK, she went over the Rules That Must Be Obeyed To Be Fully Healed In Time. 6 weeks of restricted movement for my chest and my arms, to keep the incisions from being stressed open, causing gaping wounds, hematomas (pockets of blood), etc. No moving my elbows more than 12 inches from my hipbones, no reaching up into cupboards for anything, everything I need must be placed about counter-high before I have the surgery, or Ill have to either do without or have someone else fetch it, oh, and Im limited to 10 pounds maximum lifting weight for anything, etc, etc, etc. So I went through my house last night trying to figure out what I could reach with that 12-elbow/hip restriction...and this thought occurred to me: My arms will be tiny little near-useless things that can barely move in any direction, and certainly cannot lift or reach, or...claw my prey... Im gonna have 6 weeks of T-Rex Arms! *RRRRAAAAARRRRR!!! ...stompystompystomp!*
