Yesterday, at Sunday School, we looked at Acts 4:32-37. Then we had an if scenario if they were living in that community at that time, what will they do so I handed some coins to a kid to the kids with 40 cents and the other kid was to act as Apostle Paul. The kid responded ill keep my 40 cents and give the rest to the apostle. I asked what would the believers at that time do? Then we read the following verses in Acts 5- Ananias and Sapphira... Heated discussion/ debate among the kids took place on what they would do with the money - (eg take 50/50, if they give all they will be poor- it doesnt make sense to give all the money, i dont understand why Ananias and his wife died or were punished? trust God, i dont understand why they dont understand that they should trust God). Conclusion: It was a challenging passage indeed but what does God want us to learn from this?
