Yesterday, drove to Belmeade and had a great time riding with friends. Came home after dark. It is about a 1:45 minute drive. Today hiched back up to go to Sandy Point to ride. About four miles after leaving the hpuse, of course on a stretch of a BUSY 2 lane road with no shoulder or a place to pull over with a horse trailer, I felt a bump, the the trailer started jerking a bit, glaced out my mirrors and SMOKE coming from the passenger side of the trailer. Just started driving hubbys truck with an integrated brake box, turned off brakes to trailer and limped to the closest safe place to pull off. Called for help, my tire was SHREDDED, was worried the brakes were also compromised. Did find out that the spare tire is still very accessible from under the new bed in the dressing room.
