Yesterday evening at 9.30pm on Cartmel Walk, Harpurhey a 26 year old female was walking home from Shiredale Drive. She continued her journey along Cartmel Walk when she heard voices from behind her, the female then stepped to one side allowing them to pass her. An unknown male then pushed the female against a wall and demanded her mobile phone, he then produced a knife to the female causing her to fear for her safety. The victim threw her handbag causing the contents of the bag to fall out onto the ground. The male offender then picked up the handbag and her mobile phone before making off in company with four other males. The offender was described as a white male aged between 20 and 25, wearing dark clothing with his face covered. The other four males were described as wearing dark clothing with their faces covered.
