Yesterday i was visited at the office by members of the Norwegian Church Aid Group and they were here to do an assesment before they proceed to Basey,Samar. We had a very pleasant discussion and i told them that we are very gratefull for their assistance especially during the early days after the typhoon when there was no electricity. They were the ONLY foreign ngo that stayed with us and helped us cope during those dark days. Anyway they prepared for a two day hectic work schedule here and were all smiles when they found out that nothing further was needed and that we had packed some of their stuff back into the crates in which they arrived. They said that among all areas visited it seems we are the fastest to have recovered. I was asked what do i plan to do with the equipment left behind and i said in the event god forbid another typhoon of that magnitude as yolandas happens again but in a different part of the country then i wouldnt hesitate to bring all of these equipment plus my men who have been taught how to use it, into that town that has been ravaged and help them in the same manner we were helped.
