Yesterday in another discussion thread the topic of art came up. And since this topic is related to the brain I really would appreciate to hear your opinion about it. My opinion might be wrong, so, please, correct me- I said that art per se is neutral. The observer gives it a certain meaning. The discussion covered several subcategories as well. e.g. ppl who don`t like Shakespeare would never admit that his poetry is art. Ppl who don`t like Nietzsche would never admit that he was a great philosopher. Ppl who have problems with ppl who are suffering from a psychosis would never admit the genius of a Van Gogh....I hope you get the idea. What is art? When can be talk about art? Where does it start and end- when do we talk about art and when about skill? I really would love to hear your opinions, theories....and due to which facts, observations, emotions do we jusge and above all why do we even think we have a right to judge?
