Yesterday, just as we do every year, we dragged out all the likely cookery books, looking for a Christmas Pudding recipe. We have three yards of cookery books. In my memory we have never followed one completely. This years has no flour, (Bread crumbs and a very little semolina), & no Brandy, (Huge slugs of Calvados though). We have the same discussion about whether to include milk or not JB is for it. I am against. So instead this year is very, very, heavy on lemon juice and zest. It currently, (and raisinly), sits in the kitchen steeping like a small swamp in a bowl waiting to be dolled out into pudding bowls and boiled tonight. Now, if anything I eat is likely to bring on a cardiac arrest it is Christmas pudd. I dont care..... The risk is worth taking. There are other opinions... https://youtube/watch?v=_OgjB6y70ew
