Yesterday my BFF Jay and I took the dogs for a hike. I am training Fezzik, my massive 8-month-old Akita. As she crossed in front of me I brought my knee up -- the idea is that I apologize and praise her when she goes back to my left -- but the top of my kneecap hit her hip bone hard. She didnt even feel it. I collapsed to the ground with curse words and tears. Today I cant walk and the puppy has learned nothing. I am working from home so I can prop and ice the injury, and she is galloping across the yard and in and out of the house out of petty one-upmanship. Hmph.
