Yesterday one Fb friend( Software Engineer) bike is skidded near a pothole on this road and got some injuries. Poojari of Hanuman temple may tell how many bike accidents are happening daily on this road. Nanakramguda - Daba ( Rayadurgam PS) road is one of the bad roads in our Hyderabad city and it belongs to R&B . Now road widening work is in progress for this road. To prevent accidents , R&B can collect one truck of BT mix material in every month from GHMC to fill these potholes temporarily instead of waiting till the entire road work is completed. Many roads of R&B are in bad state without proper maintenance in our city and accidents are taking place. It was represented by Shramadaan to bring the maintenance of all roads within the city limits under the control of GHMC. It seems that still the negations are going on to settle this issue. As far this road is concerned , there are some permanent problems which are causing frequent damages to this road. Those problems can be solved by paying a little attention. Other wise even after the road widening work is completed , this road gets damaged within very short period of Six months at many places. Between Food Nation and Hanuman temple all the leakages of water is over flowing on this road and finally coming and getting stagnated on the road near Temple. This is causing major damages to the road at two places , one is near temple and another in between temple and Food Nation. The traffic is abnormally getting slowed down here in addition to accidents. This problem can be solved by constructing a retention wall or a drain along the road for a length of 300 mts to divert all the water in to the major drain which is already existing there. The road hight to be suitably increased to prevent stagnation of rain water and proper slope to be ensured to road. The unwanted side heaps of accumulated earth soil to be removed along the road on Opp side of Temple. Another damage is near those huts of Jacob company workers, who are blocking the natural flow of drain/rain water. Here the water is over flowing and crossing road causing a damage. Here also a major drain is existing a a distance of 50 mts from those tents. If these tents are authorized to be allowed there, the problem can be solved just by laying a drain pipes for a length of 100 mts. The open drain here is mostly blocked by bikers of these tents to pass with their bikes. Similarly many other bad places can be identified with naked eye on this road. The trees or electrical poles has to be removed before starting road widening work and before the each layer of filled earth is pressed and rolled. If these trees and poles are removed at the last stage after the rolling and pressing of earth layers is completed, that portion of road develops potholes at each such place and it will be a regular problem to fill such potholes as the vehicular movement is very heavy on this road. NOTE: To ensure safe and beautiful roads in our Hyderabad city, our college students can play a vital role and be an example for other cities. Four or five friends can join together and start some project work as a hobby in holidays. Only by spending one complete day one special report can be prepared for one road on which you are daily traveling. Prepare the list of problems and write the suggestions also to solve the issue. Submit one copy of your report to GHMC commissioner and question in the Prajawaani court which is being conducted in GHMC office on every Monday and another copy to Principal/dean of your college for record.
