Yesterday, over 100 volunteers, 4 veterinarians, a team of vet techs, city officials, and several key organizations worked together to provide another successful FREE wellness event for pets in a low income area of Cleveland. We serviced almost 400 animals yesterday, providing vet care for the first time for most of the animals. THIS SERVICE IS DESPERATELY NEEDED IN CLEVELAND! This event made possible by PetFix with funding from the Kenneth Scott Foundation, Councilman Jeff Johnson, and our committed team of volunteers. Addtl thanks to Cleveland Animal control, Jens Mobile Grooming, My Best Friends Bowl, The Mutt Hutt, The Rescue Inn, Badges for Bullies, Cold Nose Companions Training, Dr Sara from Tremont Animal Clinic, Dr Mitchell, Dr Koastal, and Dr Taddeo! Our incredible committee worked for several weeks before this event to make it run seamless, we couldnt have done it without you: Meredith Barthelemy, Janet Menko, Leah M Kubiak, Jamie Jones, Gina Luzius, Julie May Konopinski, Sandy Smith & Adrienne Schultz! I want to extend an extra thank you to Cleveland Job Corps for hosting us, and going above and beyond. And an EXTRA SPECIAL thank you to the amazing Councilman Jeff Johnson. Our amazing councilman worked right along with us the entire time, helped us secure the site, provided security, tents, and volunteers and provided additional funding for the event. He also was working the entire day, from 8a-6pm...an amazing individual, and one we are incredibly grateful to have the chance to work with. We can learn from a leader like this! Thank you!
