Yesterday, the Saint Paul City council held a public hearing on a new Saint Paul ordinance to formalize shelter and rescue standards for the City of Saint Paul Animal Control, including ones that set standards for animal euthanasia and require the public release of intake and outcome statistics. City Council will vote on this next week, so if you are a Saint Paul resident, it is not too late for your voice to be heard. We are heartened that groups in Saint Paul could come together to create an ordinance that appears likely to pass next week. (The public hearing on this ordinance begins at 00:20:30.)
