Yesterday turned out to be an Affirmation of sorts... I stood for a few moments silently taking in the sea of happy faces before me... the hugs... the laughter... tears of Joy... So many childhood memories flooded back... Growing up in Heathfield had truly been the Golden Years...... Lifelong friends... Smiling strangers... a value system second to none... Respect... Integrity... and Acceptance... But a few words which aptly describe what Heathfield is about... Few, if any of us grew up knowing Abundance... Most of us come from working class families, grew up under not always ideal circumstances... but emerged with strength of character... a desire to succeed... and an invisible thread that would bind us forever to our Heritage... I could not be more proud of this Community who have silently stood together through thick and thin... have weathered a few storms... and Celebrated achievements or commiserated challenges as they have arisen... all with Humility and truck loads of Love... Yesterday, among all the Laughter and Happiness I felt that sense of belonging one only finds... at Home...xxx
