Yesterday was a big ... Big day for Maria Victoria. Firm advocation, your prayers and support have resulted in a surgery date to repair a muscle in Marias right eye. (Peer closely into our Facebook cover photo to see the drift Maria struggles with everyday.) Monday February 16th well check in to Texas Childrens in Houston for an outpatient surgical procedure that will (Lord willing) significantly help Maria. A year and a half ago you gave generously and because of your generosity I have no worries about the medical expenses not covered by insurance. I do however worry as all mothers do about anesthesia about unlikely infections, about whether Im making the best decisions for Maria. Please pray for me as the days pass by. Pray that I dont obsess about worst case scenarios. Pray that the surgeons hand will be steady. Pray that I will be fearless, that Maria will experience a better than anticipated outcome... that shell stop falling in thin air, running into large objects in her path, struggling to direct her eyes to focus on things like her books, toys, puppy dogs, and her bowl as she moves her spoon towards her oatmeal.
