Yesterday was extremely powerful to the programmatic work and impact of The SISI. The grace of God was ALL OVER what we experienced and the beautiful kindredness of everyone there was on amazing accord. Tears, hugs, sharing, listening, exchange, networking, new collaborations and excellence; and we broke delicious bread together. Each of us was so empowered with brilliance from the most gifted Panel that took time from their busy schedules to share their expertise with us from an anointed and compassionate place. Their resumes read like books of stellar accomplishment but their humility and true appreciation for the opportunity to participate and their validation of the inaugural Mens Cancer Forum left my hubby and I in awe. I want to THANK each of them from our hearts for the gifts. I want to THANK Dr. Leroy Darkes, Medical Director of Rex Senior Health Center; Dr. Tammie Ducre Moore, Founder, Western Wake Counseling & Psychological Services of Cary; Mary Anderson, Executive Director, Prostate Cancer Coalition of NC; Bishop Charles Johnson, Founder and Sr. Pastor of The Well Church; Fred Fred Fuller, CAREGIVER; and Eric Moore, SURVIVOR! I want to thank our Sponsor, the North Carolina Cancer Prevention and Control Branch of the NC Department of Health & Human Services! Yes! This will be an annual event that we do plan to take on the road also! To those of you that attended, thank you for relaxing your shoulders and opening your hearts to share your stories in the Journey. I will never forget the awesomeness and it was amazing to hear from the Men! THANK YOU!!!!!
