Yesterday was our last day at DW. We stayed at WL and it was great ad always. We went down to Whispering Canyon for breakfast and when our server scanned my magic band she of course said The number of dining credits I had remaining. We then told her we were aware and sad that we were going home and still had a large number of dining credits remaining. She said thats one thing that she disliked about the bands and preferred the old card system because people who had remaining dining credits could pass the cards onto someone who was there and they could use the dining credits that is not possible with the bands. She asked if we would like her to find a veteran possibly and his family who was not on the dining plan and they could use some of our credits and we of course said yes. So we bought breakfast for a veteran his father who is a veteran the wife and two children especially because it was Veterans Day. I still had dining credits left a large group came in and sat down next to us I noticed they did not have on magic bands so I asked her about that group and she said they were cast members and Mickey buys their meals. She then said see the group that is just being seated it happened to be six young ladies. Our server said, based on my experience I bet they are in the college program, she then explained how much they are paid and how much Disney charges them for rent--leaving little for anything else. So we said we to use credits to purchase their meals. They were so thankful they wrote us a lovely thank you note and one of them delivered it to our table. Because we had the deluxe fining plan and had skipped breakfast mist days and lunch with a party of 4 we still had credits lefts so we used them to purchase to go meals for the same girls. They were so thankful we got hugs all around and there were tears from several of them. Here is our picture.
