Yesterday was very productive, as I sat and watched many college football games alone I tacked the four bins in my dining room containing 100 years of china, glass work and nicknaks which have been passed down through the years from various women family members. A compilation of mismatched china, (six different sets) and atleast 80 years of nicnaks and gramma gifts. Years and years of memories, not of any real value except the smiles when you remember where they sat in your Grammas kitchen or on various tables. So hard to part with and not enough space to keep. Wish I still had my Grammas big old house, I would keep it all! Now to tackle the bins in the front bedroom from my life memories I have keep in storage. Can you say DOWNSIZE! BIGTIME! I have gotton rid of lots. I keep telling myself let it go, set it free, pass it on for someone elses use, no good in a closet. Almost done, been a journey through time. Not good at selling things that have special memories, I feel like if you pass it on for someone elses use, it will carry the good krama of those that had it before them. Just my own way of dealing with the attachment to nothing but stuff tied together with the love and memories.
