Yesterday we dug up the Black Cohosh and moved it to a better place. We are slowly getting rid of the growing beds and naturalising the plants in the general environment at the herb field. Black Cohosh is an impressive plant when in flower and the herb tincture, made from the roots, is most commonly used for menopausal complaints. Herbalists use it for joint problems and sciatica as well as for painful periods and hot flushes.
