Yesterday we had an orientation for the Florence trip. Found out that all I need is a sketchbook, Hermeneutic Communism for philosophy class, and a couple of blank journals. The teachers said that all we really need to do is read the assigned textbook and write a journal entry relating our experiences to the book. They didnt want to pile work on us so we could just enjoy our trip and do whatever we want. Im basically getting graded on vacationing! Also found out that speaking a tad bit of German will really help me get around. When Im not exploring the city on my own Ill be sipping Italian wine and doing homework at a cafe. Im so excited!
