Yesterday we learned about the differences between steady state exercise and high intensity interval training (be sure to check out yesterdays blog article if you havent yet!) So it seemed only fitting to share a great 20 min. HIIT workout courtesy of our friends at A.C.E. Fitness. What makes High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) so popular is its highly effective and efficient style that utilizes high-intensity interval periods involving several muscle groups at once, followed by a lower-intensity or rest period. Not only can you do these workouts in half the time of conventional steady state cardio routines, but studies have proven their unique ability to burn more body fat while retaining muscle mass as well!
